What sparked this idea, what motivates you the most to venture through 8 countries in Europe on nothing but two wheels? Oskar gives a short and sweet answer to this!

Once again guys, the trip is soon coming, and excitement is monumental. Once exams are out of the way things will pick up fast! We are happy you are joining us on this journey. We've had some wonderful weather the last coupled days. The sun has been on and off, so let's hope it kicks up further come launch day!

Days are closing and the day is set 6th of May 2013 Oskari Keränen and Edward Wiese will be departing from Edinburgh the Meaddows next to the Golf Tavern with our heads faced towards Tampere Railway-station and spirits as high as they get. A rough route may be seen bellow.

THE BEGINNING

Hi Everybody!

I feel that I have experienced a lot of ups and downs in my life, but have no regrets what so ever. Lived and traveled in Finland for my childhood I learned that riches may be found close by and most of us find no reason to travel any further than the nearest city. Moving to Scotland and traveling around a little has grown my hunger for experience, travel and getting to know people from different backgrounds.

Well then, the beginning of this trip started when I thought about my bicycle in Edinburgh and what I am going to do with it after I graduate. Well I wanted to take my bike back home to Finland, but thought it might be quite boring just cycling 3000 km and doing nothing on the way. My friends did enlighten me about the existent of the postal service, but I've always had a bit of selective hearing. Sooo what do we have in between, well I thought it would be worthwhile finding out and at the same time seeing how much amazing people live between my 2 homes. That's when I thought it would be great to go see people and places along the way and show how amazing it can be to live in different places and to travel through them. I see that people should travel and broaden their mind with traveling. Thus a 'Small' cycling tour is in order and exploring DIFFERENT people as they are and how wonderful their lives are is what I came up with, but I myself think great ideas brew when shared and done with collaboration.

Therefore

Please do comment and give ideas and suggestions as my trip is only at its beginning. I plan to execute the actual cycle between May and June 2013, but I want to hear about ideas, places to go, people to meet and things to do on the way and share all those thoughts here. SO give an idea, I'll read it and use it somewhere along the trip.
